Fantastic food, lovely venue and amazing service! We had a large group (13 of us) and everything was spot on. Gilles looked after us from start to finish and was a breath of fresh air. The best experience we’ve had. Thank you, and we will definitely be back!

Had a lovely time celebrating my 29th birthday with family, we had the private room upstairs and I would like to give a huge shoutout to our server Seb, he was absolutely fantastic dealing with us all and ensuring we all had the correct food and drinks. It was a fantastic evening - and we would like to give another shoutout to the brilliant singer !!! Thanks to all the team !

We arrived yesterday for my sons birthday with my in laws who are in their 90s so struggle to walk. Johan and Gilles greeted us at the doors opening the doors for my in laws, making sure they were aware of changes in floor materials for their walkers, got them both cushions for the chairs and helped them both to their seats! The booking was incredibly easy over email, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was amazing (even the children in there were all given crayons and colouring books!). They also didn't add the 10% service charge that others are doing now which was a welcome bonus as we prefer to give tips based on the service we are given. The staff were so kind, attentive and they really made our visit so special. Even when we left, Johan and Gilles were ready with my in laws walking frames and sticks, helping them with their jackets and walking them back to the doors once again holding the doors open etc. We were completely blown away by their kindness! It's a terrible thing but you expect bad service in restaurants nowadays and are usually right but Johan and Gilles were exceptional in their attention and I'm SO happy I decided to book the Jet Miners for my son's birthday! We'll definitely be back for my 50th in the summer if not before! Thank you all so so much, it meant ALOT yesterday, you deserve every success xxx

Booked for Christmas Lunch, excellent service, welcomed and provided a gift by Santa which was actually less cringe than it sounds. Very attentive service, although meal felt a little rushed. Food was excellent except for what I felt was a lack of choice for desserts. Reasonably priced drinks.

visited with 30+ art group members for Christmas lunch yesterday. Excellent surroundings, no crushing us together to eat and service efficient and friendly. Food excellent too, good choice all enjoyed by the members and presented beautifully. Will most certainly be visiting again. Highly recommended

To start, a very likely dilemma: perhaps an impossible ask. On the very last day of a wonderful break in wonderous North Yorkshire, we had the notion, last minute it has to be said, that having Sunday lunch in a local pub would be a good idea before hitting the motorway for the south, and home; a 5-hour journey whichever way you stack it! Very – actually, very, very last minute – the prospect of finding anywhere local at such short notice appeared bleak indeed. The folks we were staying with suggested the Jet Miner's in West Broughton for their legendary Sunday Carvery. Then cut us down immediately with, "But it's very popular, the chance of a table at short notice is probably slim." We called anyway. They were full – disappointment: "But as you're running short on time, why not call by anyway and we'll see if we might fit you in somewhere!" We managed to get a table in the outside seating area. Very busy. But popular busy, not hectic by any means, and the staff taking everything in their stride. Our table, we suspect, was set up specially for us: thank you! What followed was a most pleasurable hour, attended to by wonderful people. The food – quality, presentation, etc., – was excellent in every possible regard. We were incredibly well looked after, and I'm certain accommodated specially on that Sunday; I cannot praise the service and hospitality enough. And Katherine: what can we say about Katherine? Table service is a difficult skill to master. It's a skill that involves people, often in groups, often as families, regularly with children. It is a skill that is difficult to master at the best of times, but on a busy Sunday, at a renowned and very busy eatery, it would beat any one of us. Not Katherine, though, a young lady with talent and quite incredible energy. Her humour, pleasantness and efficiency were quite superb; attention to service faultless. We felt as though we might have been the only table there such was her remarkable attentiveness — we were one of about 10 other tables! Katherine coped without hesitancy or check in everything she did. So, thanks to the Jet Miner's, your team and an excellent Lunch-time carvery (indeed, your reputation is well deserved). Thank you for your superb hospitality and for accommodating our request for a Sunday lunch time slot (against impossible odds!). And thank you – thank you, thank you, thank you! – to Katherine, for all that you did. An off-the-scale talent in the hospitality business, and a young lady destined to go far!

Had a fantastic family meal on Friday night with the family. The service was spot on, not rushed and enough time to choose what you wanted. Highly recommended The Jet Miners, this is how a pub should be and will be back.

Well what can I say! The service, the hospitality and the food were all top shelf! Johan, Elina, Brad and the rest of the staff are all amazing, polite and efficient. We had a fantastic meal and a fabulous chat with owner, Johan. We cannot wait to go back to sample more of the menu. Thanks Jet Miners team, see you in September... If not before. Another fantastic visit tonight for the South African Themed Weekend. Same warm and fantastic hospitality with awesome food and beautiful presentation. Thanks again for an unforgettable night x
